Tickets are now on sale here.
Katherine Kolios, RAIN’s director states, “After 2 years of virtual events, we are grateful to gather for our 20th anniversary, because RAIN would never have made it this far, and never achieved what we have achieved, without the dedicated support of this community.”
RAIN Dance highlights RAIN’s impact in Niger, emphasizing the power we have as a community to effect lasting change for women, children, and families struggling with extreme adversity on a daily basis. The event features the following components:
- 6 to 6:30 PM: Cocktail Hour. Sample delicious food and drinks while enjoying West African music in the Word Barn Meadow.
- 6:30 to 7:30 PM: Program highlighting 20 years of RAIN’s work, the past year’s successes, future goals, and plaque presentation to Jo Lamprey.
- 6 to 8:00 PM: Silent Auction
- 7:45 to 8:00 PM: Silent Auction Winners Announced
Proceeds from RAIN Dance ticket sales, silent auction, and Fund-A-Need, directly support Rain for the Sahel and Sahara’s sustainability, women’s empowerment, and education programs.
RAIN would also like to thank their generous event sponsors: F.L. Putnam Investment Management, Jessica and Paul McKeon Charitable Giving, Chinburg Properties, Delta Dental Northeast, and New Hampshire PBS.

About Rain for the Sahel and Sahara:
Rain for the Sahel and Sahara (RAIN) forges partnerships with rural and nomadic peoples in Niger to enable enduring and relevant livelihoods through access to education and opportunity. We envision a world where even the most remote communities have the resources to become resilient to the environmental and socio-political stresses they face every day. RAIN 1) empowers communities to build environmentally and economically sustainable food and water systems; 2) strengthens the pipeline for education in rural and nomadic communities; and 3) supports women to build the skills to become entrepreneurs, caring for themselves, their families, and their communities. Ultimately, our programs provide the building blocks for community resilience that will last far beyond the end of RAIN’s involvement.
